Pair of carved white marble column bases, decorated with lion heads,

richly sculpted on all sides. Each base is adorned with four lion heads positioned at the corners, carved in high relief. The faces, framed by finely incised stylised manes, display a strong decorative presence.

The upper section features a wide gadrooned torus forming the support for the columns.

The central shaft is decorated with stylised vegetal motifs in relief, evoking palmettes or falling leaves, while the lower section is enriched with an openwork frieze and carved geometric decoration, adding depth and rhythm to the overall composition.

Beautiful aged patina, signs of wear, slight erosion and tonal variations consistent with age.

Late 17th century or early 18th century.
